Good morning! We're going to try something a little different this week. For starters, we're pulling back the veil and showing some of the upcoming breads we've been working on a little earlier than usual (see photo above). Secondly, we're bringing you in a little earlier to weigh in on one of these loaves.
One of our customers brought us the idea for this bread, and it's so tasty that it actually leap-frogged not only our usual process but also some of the other breads in our kitchen trials. This is our first “cheese” bread, and it’s arguably our most flavorful loaf (no offense to our other breads, lovely in their own ways). It pairs chunks of savory parmesan cheese with freshly cracked black pepper, baked into our Einkorn Sourdough Bread.
For Saturday (3/8), we're offering this Parmesan Peppercorn Sourdough Bread as a small loaf for $8. (The higher price reflects the fact that each loaf has more than $2 of cheese in it as we're buying smaller quantities of the best cheese we found after testing several varieties.) We're excited to let you try this early while we work on the logistics of rolling this bread out at a larger scale (we will be on a quest to find the right cheese sold in larger quantities, for example).
