Research
The major focus of the WSU barley breeding program is the development of malt, food and feed varieties adapted to the diverse growing regions of Washington state and the Pacific Northwest. The lab also provides grain and malt analytical services to third parties as well as conducting barley pathology research into globally important diseases.
