Cranberry Pecan Sourdough Bread returns!

Good morning! Just got back from walking the dog, and the mornings are starting to have that autumn "crispness" to them (plus it's dark when Scout and I get up...ugh). As we’re transitioning into fall, we’ve shifted our focus to some fall-themed baked goods. Last week’s Maple Oat Bread was popular and will continue in the rotation. We’re bringing back the Cranberry Pecan Bread this week, and we’ve been working on a bread with sage as well. We’ve had a couple of requests for the Take-and-Bake Hot Rolls, so those will be returning for soup season as well.

The best thing since...


Over the past year, we've gotten some requests for sliced bread. As simple as that may sound...it's complicated. Our ultimate goal is to get you bread baked fresh the same morning you receive it. In order to slice and bag bread, we need it to be fully cool, which takes longer than you'd think. Many bakeries bake the night before to allow for slicing. We've been trying to figure out the logistics of how this would work and are now ready to trial it, if you're willing to bear with us:

  1. We can only offer slicing for pre-orders at our home on Saturdays. Unfortunately, if you are picking up your order from Cure, the logistics make it impossible to offer slicing right now.
  2. If we slice your bread, we will package it in a plastic bag to ensure it retains its freshness.
  3. To ensure the bread is as cool as it can possibly be, we will slice it when you arrive to pick up your order. It only takes a few minutes to slice and bag it.

We just purchased a manual slicer (the scary-looking contraption below). If we can figure out the logistics, we will be upgrading to an electric slicer at some point. If you are interested in having your bread sliced, you can add a note to the message field when placing your order, and we'll see how this goes. Like any new project, we expect to get more efficient as it goes. Thanks in advance for bearing with us!
